why Shiny Koala?

Back in the Old West, the word shiny was used to describe something or someone that was good, awesome, wonderful, amazing, great, remarkable or interesting. The word then came into popular use in the TV series Firefly by Joss Whedon.

Now we all know koala's are cool, but not many people know they are in fact "shiny"!
